Cam and Joy Hill have lived in Nicholtown for over 7 years. They are yankees, but we promise we won’t hold that against them. They founded Éleos in April, 2016 in an attempt to love their neighbors and equip them in their God-given potential. The programs of Éleos have expanded, but the mission remains the same. Cam now serves as the Executive Director of Lead Collective, and Joy continues to humble our students on the basketball court, and make sure they eat their vegetables at Lead Project (which the Hills continue to host in their home).
Grace Bridger was born & raised in Greenville, SC! She got introduced into the non-profit world in 2017 & hasn’t looked back since. She started as a summer crew leader at Mill Village Farms in 2017, then served as their youth program coordinator through AmeriCorps from 2018-19! Right as her term was ending, a mutual friend connected to Éleos told her about a position opening & she became our Program Director in the Fall of 2019.
High School Coordinator
Erskine otherwise known as Ej, is from Greenville – born and raised! His favorite hobby is to play basketball. In fact, he heard about Eleos from Cam when He was just a peewee (His words, not ours) trying to find something fun to do on a Tuesday. EJ said, he wanted to work for Eleos because he want to make a change for the community that he came from! He can see that impact most clearly through the students he works with. He says, his favorite thing about working at Eleos is seeing smiles on the kids faces.”
Middle School Coordinator
Amiyah is from Greenville originally, and first came in contact with Éleos through the Phillis Wheatley Community Center. She connected with Cam and Joy, and began joining on a regular basis, serving during Open Gym nights as a student leader. She moved to Charlotte where she graduated from High School. Shortly after, she moved back to Greenville she joined the Eleos team as a summer intern, and took a position as our Middle School Coordinator in the Fall.
